Post-Production Schedule

 Post-Production Schedule

This is evidence that I have completed a post-production schedule. A post-production schedule is a schedule or timetable for the whole post-production and editing process. A post-production schedule is important because it allows me, as a film creator to organise the time that I have in an efficient way, in order to successfully complete the post-production process and create my final film. I have included what editing task I am going to complete on each day, with extra time to make any necessary adjustments or tweaks if needed. Hopefully, this means that editing will  run smoothly now that my time is planned out and I know exactly what task I need to do on each date. In addition, the dates act a mini-deadlines to finish each task, so I am able to see if I am behind schedule or not at any given time. If I had not completed this then I could accidently waste time or fall behind schedule without realising it, leading to a delay of the final film. Typically, the producer will manage the post-production schedule and edit it as time goes on, in order to accommodate any changes or delays. However, a delay is not desirable as it is part of the audiences expectations that a film is released on the scheduled release date. Also, it is part of a clients/employers expectations that a product is finished when they have stated it is needed by. The brief states that Jinjasnap wants to show my product during a 'film genre season', so it is important that the product is finished in time for this event. I have completed my schedule as a table because I felt that it was an effective way to display the necessary information and can be easily changed.
