Evidence of Recording Sound
Evidence of Recording Sound
This picture shows evidence that I have recorded sound for my opening sequence. Here I have attatched a microphone to my camera in order to capture any sound. With this microphone I wanted to capture Foley sound alongside any dialogue. Most of the time I used Rode camera microphone which was able to capture great quality sound and audio. In addition to this microphone, I used my phone to record sound such as diegetic sound and non-diegetic sound. Since these microphones are only small and light, I could set them up by myself, as opposed to large sound capturing equipment that most professionals use. It is important to use professional sound equipment in order for it to capture good quality sound, which will make the film seem high quality. I captured bird and wind sounds with this microphone which acted as foley diegetic sound in hopes of creating some ambience in some scenes. I feel like this will create a sense of 'verisimilitude' to my film, making the thriller seem more realistic and therefore even scarier to the audience.
In addition, this photo shows evidence that I have recorded sound as you can see it throughout the sequence on the time line in Adobe Premiere Pro.
