Evidence of Editing (Transitions)

 Evidence of Editing (Transitions)

These photos show evidence that I have added transitions in my film opening. This will make the shots seem more like a sequence and make each scene and different location flow better together. The most common transition is a cut and I have used lots of these during my film opening but the following images show different transitions to a standard cut. I added these transitions in Adobe Premiere Pro by selecting the transition that I want and dragging it to the end or start of a shot or audio. Hopefully, by adding transitions my film will appear to be at a high production value like other professional films.

This photo shows evidence of me editing video transitions into my film opening. A cross dissolve can make something dissolve onto the shot or off of the shot. I added this transition at the start of this titling and at the end so that the cast's names will appear and the disappear during the scene. This transition is a very professional one to use, making my film opening look very high quality.
This photo shows evidence of me editing video transitions into my film opening. Here you can see that I added a dip to black transition between two shots. In the forest scene, there are lots of dip to black transitions because I wanted to create a creepy feel and I felt that this transition enhanced that feeling.

This photo shows evidence of me editing video transitions into my film opening. By adding a lot of additive dissolves during the most tense moment in  my film opening, I created a flashy effect that enhanced the tension. This was desire able because tension is a key thriller convention and thus my audience will hopefully be able to identify the genre as thriller. In addition, I feel as if it made the villain look more scary.

This photo shows evidence of me adding audio transitions into my film editing. An exponential fade will make the music gradually fade out which will make the next shot flow better in the scene. Also, it prevents a sudden stop of music which may seem weird and abrupt to the audience, making the film seem unappealing.
