 Evidence of Editing (Sound Effects)

These photos show evidence of me editing sound effects in Adobe Premiere Pro. It is important to do this so that they have the desired effect, last the desired duration, have the desired volume and have the desired transitions. It is my intention that doing this will make the added sound effects suit my film better and sound professional. I added the sound effects to enhance the diegetic sound within the scene in order to communicate things with the audience. For example, I added a camera sound to communicate that the main character is taking a picture and I added a school bell sound to communicate that the students have reached the end of the lesson and are now packing away. Often, sound effects match the actions on screen and serves as a way to communicate why a certain action is happening.

this photo shows evidence of me cutting down a sound effect to the desired length.

This photo shows evidence of me layering the sound effect with the video so that it is heard at the correct time and throughout the correct shot.

This photo shows evidence of me changing the volume of the sound effect because I want it to gradually fade lower until it stops.
