Evidence of Editing (Sound)

 Evidence of Editing (Sound)

These photos show evidence that I have edited my sound in Adobe Premiere pro whilst editing. Once capturing sound with a microphone or my phone, I cut it down to the desired amount, made sure it was placed where I wanted it to be during the sequence and edited the volume of the sound depending on the effect and tone I wanted it to create. Sound it important because it can communicate certain things with the audience such as emotions, tone or even information. For example, the scream communicated the characters emotion whilst also helping to reinforce the genre of the film as a thriller.

This screen grab shows evidence that I have edited sound. Here I have increased the volume of the scream to make it louder. I did this because I wanted it to seem more dramatic and tense. This is a typical convention of a thriller film.

This screen grab shows evidence that I have edited sound. Here I have cut down audio because it was not needed as I want the sound effects to be only heard in this shot. If I had not cut down this audio then it may have interfered with my sound effect and I want the audience's attention to remain on the sound effect only.
