Equipment Booking
Equipment Booking
This shows evidence that I booked equipment to use whilst filming. I booked equipment because I do not have any of my own, and therefore had to borrow some from school. Booking equipment is useful because I am able to write down what equipment I need for myself and when, ensuring that the equipment is there when I need it and hasn't been given to anyone else. I am also able to see when other people have booked equipment, this allows me to know not to book any equipment that isn't available on that day. I have highlighted the days where I booked equipment in pink. I used the standard set up when I was filming still shots or shots that are easier to film such as a pedestal but when I needed to film more difficult shots such as a truck then I used all of the available equipment. It is important to use professional equipment because that is the only way to guarantee that your shots will look clean and professional. The more professional a film looks then the more appealing it will be to the intended target audience, thus hopefully making the film more successful. The cannon camera will allow me to capture high quality video. The prime lens, enables me to change focus during a shot and the zoom lens enables me to zoom in during a shot. The stabilising handle allowed me to prevent the camera from shaking when filming, creating a steady shot. The LED lights, enables me to create a key light and illuminate the subject in an effective way. The smartphone rig allowed me to easily use my phone when filming, and created a more steady shot. The microphones enables me to pick up the needed audio without capturing unwanted sound such as wind. The tripod allowed me steady the camera or phone to create a still shot at different angles but also allowed me to create camera movements such as a pedestal. The SD card enabled me to save my captured footage. The camera slider allowed me to create steady camera movements such as a truck. Finally the shoulder camera stabiliser enabled me to create steady camera movements when doing things such as a hand held follow but also unsteady camera movements in key moments where I may want this effect. When filming I used this equipment myself but sometimes I needed help setting it up with other crew members because it can at times be tricky. This allowed the filming process to run smoother and quicker than if I were to set up te equipment completely myself.
