 School Classroom Filming Permission

This documentation is evidence of a location permission email. This evidence proves that I am legally allowed to film in my chosen location - the school classroom. Evidence that a film producer is allowed to film in a location is needed because it is illegal to film without it and film makers can get arrested or have to face consequences if they get caught filming in a location without permission. Despite it being illegal to film without permission, some film makers do it anyway in hopes of not getting caught and sometimes it turns out successful for the film producer. However, the risk is quite high and does not always pay off for some film makers. It is risk - free and better to gain a location permit or permission to film in a location. I chose to gain permission through an email for multiple reasons. First, I already knew the email of the owner of the classroom and could easily contact them. Secondly, I gained permission much quicker than if I were to send a letter of another form of a permission request because I did not have to wait for the letter to be delivered to the owner. Finally, the permission is evidenced on the internet and therefore it is harder to lose that evidence. If the permission was a letter than I could more easily lose the permission forever and have to rewrite the owner of the location. I can also choose to print the email out if I want a physical copy of the permission. This documentation impacts my final production because it legally secures a location for me to film in. I now know that I can successfully film in the classroom. I also now have a larger idea on how my film is going to look and can imagine the mise-en-scene and look of the scenes filmed in a school classroom. My piece of documentation is professional but not quite industry standard. Most professionals would include more detail and information in their emails and most of the time film makers have to pay to film in certain locations or hire a space out.
