Call Sheet

This documentation is evidence of a call sheet. A call sheet is a document sent out to all the cast and crew for every filming day and it outlines where they each need to be for the following shoot day and at what time. It also outlines the daily shooting schedule for the day (stating what shots are planned to be captured and who is needed for those shots), informs the cast and crew of weather conditions, parking, break times, weather forecast, the nearest hospital and other important information to make sure they are prepared. I have completed my call sheet in a table with separate sections, I have done this because it separates the different information into groups of what is similar and in an organised and efficient way, so that it isn't confusing. I also decided to put the important information near the top of the sheet, including the nearest hospital in case someone gets harmed whilst filming, the call time and wrap time and how to get to the location, etc. A call sheet, needs to be completed for every day of filming and for every location, this is because each day will have a different schedule, plans will change everyday and important information such as the nearest hospital or possible hazards may change. This call sheet impacts my final production because, creating a call sheet for filming days makes the whole filming process much more easier and productive, as the day is always planned out and important information is already known by the whole cast and crew. If a call sheet was not completed, then the filming days would be chaotic and stressful and something bad may happen, such as someone getting hurt and people being unaware of the nearest hospital, the cast and crew not knowing where they need to be and at what time or the cast and crew being unaware of how to reach the location, etc. This could lead to falling behind schedule and possibly delaying the release of the final film. My call sheet reflects one at industry standard because it is equally organised and detailed, including all of the necessary information.

Here is an industry standard example of a call sheet. The format is similar to my call sheet and it includes as much detail as mine does. It also has placed the most important information at the top of the page because it is easier to read that way. Moreover, it includes almost the same details such as a shooting schedule, the weather forecast, the nearest hospital and catering, etc. Overall, this industry standard example is similar to my call sheet.
